I have a strange problem: Note that if the icon for e,g. Red icon for word files?
When i'm logged into windows using a local standard user account and i look in a windows explorer folder, all of a sudden my word/excel/power. All older saved pictures are fine. But also the word icon disappeared from all my word docs both on the desktop and in folders.
Somehow i finally got office 2019 back although the onenote icon has 2016. I have microsoft word and excel installed on my laptop, however, i can't find them in my start menu so every time i want to use them i still need to open an existing word. For example, what happens is when i click on a document or the word program itself, the normal icon pops up in the taskbar, and hovering the cursor over that, the usual. Welcome to tenforums @ kent1 when you open word and its icon is on the taskbar, do you see a thumbnail of the word document if you hover the mouse over the icon?.
This is whether viewed as large, medium or small icons. Windows 10 home version 22h2 os build 19045.2846 for no reason i can figure out, something strange has suddenly happened to many of my word. For excel a default icon with x middle left. A word processor program appears on the task bar, right clicking that gives a recent list which seems the same as that shown in the start menu.
