Can i take a listen? Do you listen to me? Lis·tened, lis·ten·ing, lis·tens to make an effort to hear something:
I heard you created a song. Listen is intransitive and it always has to be followed by either to or for: Would you like to hear some music?
But what is the differences between. Can i speak to you for a minute? Cuando se utiliza listen to? Cuando se utiliza listening to?
It seems that both are correct about the grammar. Hi, i'm confusing about these 2 sentences: Is my usage of take a listen correct? You could say would you listen to me for a minute? if you have started speaking and the other person doesn't seem to be.
Can you listen to me? While listen to somebody means hear and apply attention to the noise their making (speaking/walking, etc.), listen for something/somebody means be on the lookout for. Or would you like to listen to some music? I like to listen to music while i cook. the implication is that it's a habit of mine (and the speaker sounds like a person who likes to make fine distinctions of speech).
