How do we resolve the problem? During recent days i received a massive increase in outgoing udp traffic port 53. I have no knowledge about whm, but i know that dns servers normally only use tcp + udp 53.
Do you need to run a dns server on this. But, you have to allow zone transfer (axf), on the master server to the slave. My server connection is going very slow.
When my server gets attacked, ddos protection comes into play immediately. It's probably one of three things, the ftp ports (20 udp / 21 tcp) are not open. What firewall are you using? Anyway, having dns (53 udp) enabled or not shouldn't affect their ability to log in via ftp.
Could not listen on udp socket: Block udp port 53 inbound and all udp outbound in your firewall and see if that helps temporarily.
